Robb Baiad

Robb Baiad currently works for GTN based in Seoul and covers Korea, Taiwan, HK and Australia as Director of Sales and Trading. His coverage is mostly institutional clients including Long Only, Long/Short and Prop Desks offering access to over 80 markets including 24/5 US trading. Prior to GTN, Robb was one of the founding employees of Blue Ocean ATS based in Singapore then Korea and was tasked to create demand in Asia to trade the US Market. He built the US overnight trading business from its infancy to seeing over $3B notional a night being traded on the ATS. He previously worked for a RE Asset Management firm as Head of Investments.

Head of Trading for Asia Pacific - Schroders Investment Management

Michael Bok is the Head of Trading for Asia Pacific at Schroders Investment Management. He leads the Equity, Fixed Income, and FX execution team in Singapore, with functional oversight of regional trading desks in China, Indonesia and Taiwan. He joined Schroders in 2003.

He is appointed to the MAS-CAD Panel of Experts on Security Offences since 2019. He is also a board member of Schroder Investment Management Singapore Limited and IBF Fellow.

Head of Frontier Trading & Sales Trading; CEO - EFG Hermes Frontier and EFG Hermes (Singapore) Pte Ltd

James Busch leads EFG Hermes’s frontier markets business and Asian operations. Based in Singapore, he oversees strategy, execution, and institutional trading across frontier and emerging markets, with a particular focus on Africa and Asia.

With more than two decades of experience in emerging and frontier equities, James has played a key role in developing market access and trading infrastructure across less-covered geographies. Most recently, he has worked closely with Vietnam’s State Securities Commission (SSC) and FTSE Russell on the country’s pathway toward inclusion in the FTSE Secondary Emerging Markets Index—advising on market structure reforms, settlement practices, and foreign investor access.

Prior to joining EFG Hermes, James was Partner and Head of Equity Trading at Exotix Partners, and earlier served as Director and Head of Sub-Saharan Africa Trading at Renaissance Capital. His career spans London, Dubai, and Singapore, covering global institutional clients and cross-border trading solutions across more than 50 markets.

Roland de Marsangy

APAC Head of Sales - Liquidnet

Roland has driven Liquidnet’s geographic expansion since joining the firm in 2012. He initially focused on continental Europe and strategic London accounts, while also advancing the trading platform’s reach into emerging markets, including the launch of the onshore South African market.

In 2016, Roland relocated to Asia-Pacific to lead Liquidnet’s sales and business development efforts across 13 markets, including China. His recent work centers on simplifying complex market structures for APAC-based clients, particularly around the rise of alternative liquidity in the region and how investors navigate U.S. and EMEA markets.

Roland brings deep industry experience, having worked at Bloomberg in 2005 and later on the equities desk of a quant-driven hedge fund in 2009. He is the immediate past co-chair of the Singapore/Southeast Asia Working Group of the FIX Trading Community. He was named to Brummel Magazine’s “30 Ones to Watch” in 2014 and Financial News’ “40 Under 40 Rising Stars in Trading and Technology” in 2015, and he is a regular speaker at industry conferences.

APAC Head for Wholesale Client Business – Coinbase Institutional

Sagar Desai is focused on building Coinbase’s institutional client solutions and leading strategic relationships across Asia, Australia, and the UAE. In this role, Sagar is also the head of APAC for Coinbase's wholesale client business, which includes banks, asset managers, introducing brokers, exchanges, financial technology firms, and other institutional market participants.

Prior to joining Coinbase three years ago, Sagar was the head of Investment Solutions for InvestaX, a Singapore-licensed platform for securities token offerings, where he led a Monetary Authority of Singapore-awarded Proof-of-Concept product to tokenize private markets investment fund structures like Singapore's Variable Capital Company.

Sagar started his career in institutional asset management at Goldman Sachs, where he was responsible for new business development and revenue generation efforts from sovereign wealth funds, pensions, and endowments in Singapore, Brunei, South Asia, Vietnam, and Timor-Leste. He was also one of the 10 global members nominated to the Junior Advisory Board for Goldman Sachs' Investment Management Division.

Sagar earned an BBM in Finance from Singapore Management University in 2013 and the UniFi by CAIA™ Digital Assets Microcredential in 2023, in addition to completing the Wharton Executive Education course on Economics of Blockchain and Digital Assets in 2022.

Abhishek Janaki

Abhishek (AJ) heads liquidity seeking products and development at Virtu Financial for Asia Pacific.

AJ’s key responsibilities include managing Virtu’s equity crossing network, developing new liquidity seeking products and services to expand Virtu’s capabilities, helping drive revenue growth and market expansion.

In his over 13 years at Virtu, AJ’s expertise covers electronic sales trading, product development, market structure, regulatory compliance and business development. One of AJ’s most notable achievements is driving the launch of Virtu’s (previously ITG) dark pool crossing network, POSIT in Asia, which provides participants with access to off-exchange, alternative liquidity and electronic block crossing in 12 Asia Pacific markets. As an alternative liquidity expert for Asia Pacific he works closely with Institutional clients, broker-dealers and other external partners across the region.

AJ has a degree from Monash University, Melbourne Australia where he started his career before re-locating to Hong Kong in 2013 and more recently Singapore in 2022.

Andrew Jim has served as a Relationship Manager for Liquidnet, based in Singapore, since 2018. In this capacity, Andrew specializes in engaging institutional clients across the Asia-Pacific region, delivering best execution through trading in the Liquidnet Pool and leveraging advanced algorithmic dark aggregation strategies.

Prior to joining Liquidnet, Andrew held a variety of sell-side roles at leading financial institutions including: JPMorgan, Citigroup, Mirae, and Barclays Capital in Asia. Andrew is both a CFA and FRM charterholder, underscoring a strong commitment to professional excellence and industry expertise.

Winnie Khattar, is APAC Head of Market Development for BlackRock where she helps to shape the evolution of market structure to support investor access and product innovation across BlackRock’s product and businesses. Winnie works with stakeholders across the capital markets ecosystem, including investors, academics, market makers, trading venues and service providers. In partnership with Global Corporate Affairs, Global Product Solutions, BlackRock Global Markets & Index Investments, and Digital Assets, she is focused on advancing market structure priorities on behalf of investors. Winnie is also the co-chair for BlackRock’s Women’s network in Hong Kong.

Winnie previously was Head of Markets & Investments Advocacy for BlackRock and led strategic market outcomes for APAC product and markets by advocating for policy and market structure reform. Prior to joining BlackRock, Winnie worked at BofA Securities, and Deutsche Bank in Hong Kong, London and Mumbai. Matthew McLoughlin has over 20 years’ experience across leading asset managers, hedge funds and investment platforms. Over the past decade, he was Partner, Chief Commercial Officer and Head of Trading & Investment Research at Liontrust Asset Management, where he played a central role in scaling AUM from $5bn to $50bn, driving global growth through strategic partnerships, product and distribution initiatives, and redesigning the firm’s technology operating model with automation and AI integration. He also served on the Senior Management and Product & Distribution Committees.

Earlier in his career, Matthew was a Credit Fund Manager at AIG, a Senior Trader at RAB Capital where he helped manage the world’s #1 performing $7.2bn hedge fund at the time, and held multi-asset trading roles at Legal & General Investment Management. He began his career as an Economist at HM Treasury.

Matthew is currently a Strategic Growth Advisor at Prospera, a consultancy helping hedge funds, asset managers and investment platforms scale through institutional operating models, technology transformation, and strategic partnerships.

Matthew has extensive board and advisory experience, including with The Plato Partnership alongside the London Stock Exchange Group, and is a recognised industry speaker on innovation, AI, market structure and high-performance operating models. Alongside his role at Prospera, in 2025 he undertook a series of senior business development tours across the Middle East, engaging with asset managers, hedge funds, investment platforms and alternative investors on growth opportunities for global investment platforms.

Ankit Mittal is a leading advocate for innovation in trading technology and market structure, currently serving as Co-Chair of the Asia Pacific Steering Committee at FIX Trading Community. In this role, he drives strategic initiatives across APAC, fostering industry collaboration, advancing FIX standards, and supporting the evolution of electronic trading.

Professionally, Ankit is a Director at BlackRock, where he leads Trading Platform & Product Marketing for APAC. He is responsible for driving product adoption, user engagement, and seamless deployment of Aladdin’s trading solutions across the buy-side community. Additionally, he spearheads Aladdin EMS partnerships globally and leads key initiatives to enhance the trading ecosystem in the region.

Prior to rejoining BlackRock, Ankit was Business Change Manager for Global Trading at Schroders, working closely with global trading desks to implement transformational initiatives in multi-asset trading. He also brings sell-side experience from Credit Suisse and began his career as a software engineer in the Aladdin Product Group at BlackRock India.

Ankit holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science & Engineering and an MBA from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. With a deep passion for trading innovation and market structure evolution, he continues to shape the future of electronic trading in APAC.

Khashayar Surti

Head of Multi-Asset Trading, APAC - UBS Asset Management

Khashayar Surti, CFA, is the head of multi-asset trading for APAC at UBS Asset Management. Prior to joining UBS Asset Management in 2018, Khashayar has held various positions such as equity sales trader, facilitation trader and FX market maker at Barclays Bank over a period of 6 years. His prior roles included trading at hedge funds in Singapore and Mumbai, India.

Khashayar was responsible for converting the trading desk at UBS AM Singapore from equities focus to a multi-asset team. He has been instrumental in driving electronification of fixed income trading in APAC across rates and credit.

Khashayar holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Mumbai University and is a CFA charter holder. He is part of various industry groups driving change in APAC securities trading.

Larry Tabb

Larry Tabb is the Director of Market Structure Research at Bloomberg, LLP. Currently Larry is writing as well as managing a team developing research and insight on financial markets infrastructure, technology, regulation, trading practices and industry issues.

Prior to joining Bloomberg in June 2020, Larry was the Research Chairman of TABB Group, the financial markets’ strategic advisory and research firm where he managed research and consulting for TABB Group. Mr. Tabb published on many aspects of the capital markets industry and has analyzed both US and European market structure; central clearing, credit default swaps, fixed income, equity and foreign exchange trading; financial markets trading and processing systems; analytical trading tools; cloud computing, and financial markets infrastructure.

Before founding TABB Group, Larry was vice president and founder of TowerGroup’s Securities & Investments practice. Prior to joining TowerGroup, he managed business analysis for Lehman Brothers’ Trading Services Division and he began his career managing various operations for the North American Investment Bank of Citibank.

Larry has testified in front of the US Senate Banking Committee, was on the SEC Fixed Income Market Structure Advisory Committee (FIMSAC), the CFTC Technology Advisory Committee (TAC) and has keynoted, spoken and moderated countless industry events. In 2022, Mr. Tabb received the Security Traders’ Association Dictum Meum Pactum (My Word Is My Bond) award for “those individuals who have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the betterment of the financial services industry and have exhibited acts of integrity at the highest level.”

Vince Turcotte

Vince Turcotte is a Director for Apex Digital, and also serves as Senior Advisor for Capital Markets for the Asia Pacific region at Chainlink Labs. He also is global co-Chair of the FIX Digital Assets & Technology committee. Vince has more than two decades of experience at exchanges, broker-dealers and futures commission merchants (FCMs). Operating out of Hong Kong, he helping build Apex Digital's regional presence, expanding the client base in Hong Kong, Singapore, and South East Asia. He also works with major accounts at Chainlink, advising on blockchain adoption. Previously, Vince worked with digital trade surveillance firm Solidus Labs, and served as Director, Asia Pacific, for Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), and as Managing Director, Asia Pacific & Japan for Exchange Traded Derivatives for Nomura International.

From 1995 to 2011, Turcotte held senior production and sales management positions at Newedge Group as well as global banks UBS and JPMorgan Chase in London, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Singapore. He previously held Vice President and Director roles at several brokerage firms after starting his career as a booth clerk and runner on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange trading floor.

Turcotte earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo and an MBA from DePaul University in Chicago, graduating Cum Laude.
