Nick Fry
Chief Executive Officer
MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team

Nick Fry began his career with the Ford Motor Company in 1977 as a graduate trainee after gaining a degree in Economics from the University of Wales. Over the next 24 years he held a variety of positions within Ford in Product Development, Marketing, Manufacturing and at Aston Martin where he was Managing Director. Nick worked with Ford in the UK, Detroit, USA, and Cologne, Germany where he spent his final two years with the company as Product Planning and Business Director for Ford Europe.

In January 2001, Nick joined Prodrive in the role of Managing Director where he was responsible for leading Prodrive's expansion into outsourced engineering services as well as maintaining the company's position in premier division motorsport. During this time the team won the World Rally Championship twice with client Subaru, the GT Sports Car Class at Le Mans with Ferrari, Saloon Car Races with Ford in Australia as well as numerous other events. Nick also took on the responsibility of Managing Director of the BAR Honda Formula One Team as part of a Prodrive management agreement to restructure the team.

Instrumental in negotiating Honda's subsequent purchase of the team, Nick became CEO of the Honda Racing F1 Team in 2005. He was the helm for the team's first victory at the Hungarian Grand Prix in August 2006 and remained in his position as Chief Executive following the transfer of ownership from Honda and the creation of the Brawn GP Formula One Team in March 2009. Brawn GP with engine partners Mercedes-Benz went on to achieve eight victories in the 2009 Formula One season, winning the Constructors' Championship and the Drivers' Championship with Jenson Button.

For 2012, Nick continues in his role as Chief Executive Officer for MERCEDES AMG PETRONAS.

Magnus Almqvist

Magnus Almqvist is a senior product specialist for Protegent, SunGard's compliance business for the capital markets. He is responsible for pre‐sales of the Protegent Market Abuse and Protegent PTA compliance solutions in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). He also provides expertise on the surveillance and supervision of financial markets in EMEA.

Mr. Almqvist was previously a sales executive at Nasdaq OMX, prior to which he was general manager and senior account manager at SMARTS. Before that, he was head of IT at EDX London, a London Stock Exchange Company, and an account manager at OMX, responsible for trading and clearing systems for exchanges.

Amandae Baey

Amandae Baey joined Credit Suisse AES team in September 2011 and is responsible for existing and new accounts of Singapore based clients. Prior to joining Credit Suisse, she was an analyst on the Barclays Capital Graduate Program and worked on the Prime Brokerage desk. Amandae graduated from the National University of Singapore with a B.A (Honors) in History. She is a Level 3 candidate for the Chartered Financial Analyst exam in 2013.

Donna Bales

Raphael Bizeau

Niguel Brooks

Prior to the SGX, Niguel was responsible for the development and management of the Securities and Derivatives trading platforms for the Australian Securities Exchange and had played a key role in the evolution of electronic trading within the Australian financial markets.

Ulf Carlsson

Mr. Ulf Carlsson joined NASDAQ OMX in 1996. He has been the Head of NASDAQ OMX operations in North Asia & Japan, based in Hong Kong, since 2003.

He is also the Chairman of NASDAQ OMX Japan Ltd., and Director of the Board of NASDAQ OMX Hong Kong Ltd. and NASDAQ OMX Singapore Ltd.

Previously, from 1996 to 2003, he was the Head of NASDAQ OMX Marketplace Business Unit, global responsible for development and support of the marketplace systems business.

Ulf holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science at the University of Lund, Sweden.

John Fildes

E. John Fildes is Director of Strategic Development for GETCO Asia, where he is responsible for relationships with exchanges, regulators and market participants across the region as well as driving the company’s high-frequency trading and market-making strategies in Asian markets.

Previously he was Managing Director and COO, Asia, of Instinet Pacific, responsible for all the operations of Instinet in Asia including Japan. Prior to joining Instinet in 2006 he was with Morgan Stanley in Hong Kong for 10 years where he held positions as the Head of Equity Marketing and Head of Electronic and Program Trading for Asia-Pacific. Before that he was the Head of MSCI for Asia Pacific and was actively involved in the launch of MSCI futures contracts for Taiwan and Singapore on SIMEX. He is the Co-Chair FPL Asia Pacific Regional Committee, and former Board Member of the Stockbrokers Association of Australia.

Prior to joining Morgan Stanley Mr. Fildes held various positions in Europe with the Financial Times, Standard and Poor¹s and Reuters.

Mr. Fildes studied Law at the University of Liverpool.

Victor Gusak

Victor is responsible for Goldman Sachs Futures Sales and Marketing effort across the Pan Asia region, focusing on electronic trading and clearing. Victor joined GS in 2007 as part of the Goldman Sachs Electronic Trading (GSET) Sales team in Tokyo and relocated to Singapore in 2010. Prior to joining GS, Victor spent 13 years with JP Morgan Futures and Options business, spending time in New York and London.

Victor holds a BA degree in International Business and Russian Language & Literature from Hofstra University in the US.

Steven Gwynn-Jones

Steven is an accomplished financial journalist and broadcaster, whose expertise in business and international affairs has underpinned senior management roles in Singapore, Australia and Europe.

Bill Herder

Bill has been the Executive Director of the Futures Industry Association - Asia since March 2012. He has 20 years of experience in the listed derivatives industry, most recently as the regional head of operations-Asia Pacific for ICAP. Earlier in his career, he served in front, middle and back office management positions at various trading firms and software vendors including Trading Technologies, SunGard Futures Systems and BNP Securities (USA) Inc. Bill has extensive experience in the futures and options business and has been a key participant in the development of processes and systems for the electronic trading and clearing of exchange traded derivatives. He and his family have resided in Singapore since 2007. He received an M.B.A. in Finance and Economics from University of Rochester.

Rob Hodgkinson

Rob Hodgkinson has worked in Information Technology, developing software in financial markets with a focus on financial mathematics, for over thirty years.

In 1992 Rob co-founded Financial Market Software Consultants (FMSC) and developed the Automated Securities Trading System, which was sold to many securities exchanges throughout the world including Shanghai, Jakarta, Moscow, Montreal, Istanbul, Oslo, Helsinki, and Budapest before the company was sold to Computershare and the system acquired by Nasdaq OMX.

Rob is currently a director of First Derivatives (Australia) Pty Ltd, a company specialising in capital markets projects. Rob heads up the exchange initiative, developing low latency solutions for exchanges globally.

Matt Hurd

Matt has an MSc in Computer Science from the University of Technology, Sydney.

Cameron Jones

Julien Le Noble

Julien Le Noble joined CME Group on 1 August, 2011, as head of its Asia Pacific office. Based in Singapore, he is responsible for leading CME Group's initiatives to expand its presence in the region, including delivering a growth strategy for the business and developing benchmark products and services to meet the needs of current and prospective clients.

Before joining CME Group, Le Noble served as CEO and Representative Director, Japan and Head of Equities, Asia Pacific for Newedge, where he led the firm's Japanese business development and sales efforts for its Tokyo-based subsidiary. Following the 2008 merger of Fimat and Calyon, which formed Newedge, Le Noble led the firm's merger integration effort in Japan. Between 2008 and 2009, he was also Head of Equities, Asia Pacific. Quentin Limouzi

Mr. Quentin Limouzi is currently Head of BNPP Electronic & Algorithmic Trading Services (BEATS) based in Hong Kong. He is responsible for the electronic trading platform for cash equities and listed derivatives Pan Asia.

Quentin joined BNP Paribas in 2007 where he was responsible for the development of the electronic trading platform in Japan. After the successful launch there, he spent two years in expanding the platform and execution team in Hong Kong. He has been running the BEATS business for the region since 2009.

Prior to joining BNP Paribas, Quentin was with TradingScreen, an American company based in Japan. He was Head of Sales for Asia Pacific as well as a partner of the firm.

Quentin was the Co-Chair FPL Singapore Working Group in 2011. He obtained a Master's degree in Management from EMLYON Business School and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Lyon. He was majoring in Quantitative Analysis.

Jacqueline Loh

Dr. Jacqueline Loh is the Head of Trading (Pan- Asia) at Schroders Investment Management. She heads a multi-asset trading desk encompassing equities, fixed income, forex and derivatives. Jacqueline and her team were one of the earliest users of electronic trading in equities in Asia and they are currently looking to extend that experience to other asset classes

Prior to joining Schroders, Jacqueline was an equities trader in Singapore and an options market maker in London before that.

Edward Mangles

Mr. Edward Mangles is the founder and Publisher of FIXGlobal, the official publication of the FIX Protocol. He has a long history within the financial technology sector and has worked closely with FPL for a number of years. He has supported the organisation’s Asia Pacific committee for the past 10 years, playing a key role in promoting FIX adoption across the region. He has also worked for leading financial publishing and marketing firms in both London and Hong Kong. In March 09 Mr. Edward Mangles was appointed FPL Asia Pacific Regional Director.

Ian Mawdsley

Ian Mawdsley is a Managing Director of RealTick, one of the industry’s leading execution management systems. In this role, Mr. Mawdsley is responsible for sales and business development in the EMEA and APAC regions.

Mr. Mawdsley joined RealTick in 2011 and brings over 20 years of financial markets experience across all major asset classes predominately associated with electronic trading.

Mr. Mawdsley holds a Bachelor of Science in Computing and Business alongside a post-graduate diploma in Software Design and Engineering.

James Rae is a Credit Suisse Director and Head of AES Sales Asia. James has been with Credit Suisse for 8 years - in New York, Singapore, and most recently Hong Kong. Prior to joining Credit Suisse James worked with Instinet in the U.S. and Japan, as head of electronic sales. James has been co-chair of FPL's working group in Singapore for the past three years, and will be stepping down this year - having moved to Hong Kong on Sept 1.

Liana Seah Rahardja

Liana Seah is a Director and Head of BARX Distribution, South Asia for Barclays. She is responsible for Barclays distribution of ecommerce solutions across Listed Derivatives, FX, Fixed Income and Structured Products to clients in the region. Liana joined Barclays in 2007 as the Asia-Pacific Head of BARX Fixed Income Distribution.

Prior to joining Barclays, Liana headed up Bloomberg Liquidity Platform Sales (FI, FX and Equity) and Media Sales in Asia Pacific. Her exposure to trading solution in various asset classes started 12 years ago when she joined the Liquidity Sales team in Bloomberg London.

She started her career in Bank of America, both in Jakarta and Hong Kong, in FX trading and Financial Risk Management, respectively.

Liana holds Master of Science in Finance from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in the US.

Matthias Rietig

Born in Frankfurt/Germany in 1977, Matthias started his professional career with Deutsche Boerse AG in 1998, first as a trainee and then served in various roles within the group. Matthias left Deutsche Boerse AG in 2003 for a short half year stint with Monex Securities Inc. in Tokyo, one of the leading Japanese online brokers. After returning to Europe, Matthias joined the Global Markets team at Deutsche Bank, covering Euro-bonds and Autobahn trades for the London desk before taking up a role as ECB watcher for the Japanese Ministry of Finance in Frankfurt. Matthias joined Osaka Securities Exchange in 2006 to facilitate the international business development of the exchange. Since then he actively engages in promoting OSE’s derivatives / cash equities as well as FX markets, in addition he is actively involved in the planning and implementation of OSE’s Co-location services as well as the remote membership and new product initiatives.

In April 2009 Matthias was appointed Executive Advisor to the board, in this function he consults the OSE management board on all strategic business development issues.

Matthias studied economics and Japanese studies at the Goethe University of Frankfurt; 2003 Matthias received a CDG-fellowship grant by the German parliament, he is married and has one son.

Laura Ryan

Laura Ryan is a Sales Manager for Eze Castle Software based in Singapore. She is responsible for APAC sales for the Order Management System and its modules. Prior to joining Eze Castle in 2012, Laura was with Tora Trading leading sales for SE Asia, India and Australia. After working with Cantor Fitzgerald and BGC Partners in NY, Laura moved to Singapore in 2005 and became Head of Ecommerce at BGC Partners Asia overseeing distribution for electronic brokerage services for fixed income and FX products.

With her strong network in the Singapore financial market Laura has helped boost the Singapore FPL Working group’s presence with two successful FPL Briefings in 2010 and 2011 acting as the Event Committee Chair. Laura holds a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration and Economics from Bucknell University.

Carol joined Tora Trading in January 2012. She is responsible for the sales, expansion and branding effort of TORA in Singapore. TORA offers a front-end, multi-brokered and multi-asset execution management platform for buy-side traders.

Prior to joining TORA, Carol worked at Goldman Sachs for 2 years.

Carol earned her degree in Master of Financial Economics from the University of Toronto.

Michael Syn

Mr. Michael Syn is Senior Vice President and Head of Derivatives at SGX.

He leads SGX's growth in the trading and distribution of derivatives, building on its position as an award-winning derivatives exchange.

Mr. Syn joined SGX from DBS Asset Management, where he oversaw the regional management of the firm as Chief Operating Officer. He brings with him leadership and business development experience in investment banking and investment management.
