This includes providing market access and solutions globally across asset classes in equities, commodities, FX and fixed income.

Damian Bierman

Damian Bierman is Head of Asia-Pacific for FactSet's Portfolio Management & Trading business unit. He is responsible for its day-to-day operations and oversees the teams responsible for delivering the full suite of PMT products and services across the region, including Portware EMS. Damian joined Portware in 2007, opening the firm's office in Hong Kong and establishing its presence in the region.

Damian is an active member of the FIX Trading Community, currently serving as Co-Chair of the Asia-Pacific Technical Subcommittee. He has been a mainstay of the organization's Asia-Pacific presence for the past 14 years, playing an active role in promoting the adoption of FIX across the region.

Prior to Portware, Damian ran FIX Services in APAC for NYFIX, setting up its Hong Kong office in 2004. Damian joined Javelin Technologies in New York in 2000, implementing its Appia FIX engine technology at numerous buy- and sell-side institutions globally.

Previously, Damian held a research position at Carnegie Mellon Research Institute in Pittsburgh, PA, working on the DOT-funded Driver Drowsiness Detection & Countermeasures study, as well as a study of expert landmine detection skill for the US Army.

Damian received his B.S. in Cognitive Science from Carnegie Mellon University in May 1997.

Sudeep Chatterjee

Sudeep is currently responsible for strategy, transformation and platform management of investment advisory, sales and trading services, driving business results from operational efficiencies and technology innovation for Bank of Singapore.

Prior to joining Bank of Singapore, Sudeep worked in Financial Services for over 12 years in Banks including Credit Suisse and the erstwhile Lehman Brothers, leading strategy design, implementation and product management of business intelligence, risk management, trading & execution and digital platforms in Asia. Sudeep has broad management experience in both buy and sell side across credit and market risk systems, trading and order management, as well as middle office processing for FX, Credit, Equities, Fixed Income and Derivatives & Structured Products.

Sudeep has a Master of Science in Risk & Investment Management obtained at Edhec Business School, France and a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Statistics obtained at University of Delhi, India.

Justin Chow

Justin Chow is the Head of Business Development, Asia for Cumberland - a DRW Company, one of the world's largest liquidity providers in cryptocurrencieas.ssets. After joining DRW in 2015 as a global macro proprietary trader, he transferred internally and Justin iis now focused on helping the Cumberland team expand and grow its business in Asia.

Prior to DRW, Justin was a global macro trader at hedge fund Citadel, where he specialized in trading and managing portfolios of foreign exchange and liquid futures. Justin started his career as , and a distressed debt and securities analyst within the hedge fund industry.

Justin earned a BS in economics and psychology from Columbia University and was Captain of the Men’s Varsity Tennis Team.

Pak Wing Chung

Pak Wing is the APAC head of ETF and index solutions at ICE Data Services, which is part of Intercontinental Exchange (NYSE: ICE). He oversees the growth of the cross asset index solution business in Asia, which includes NYSE Indices, ICE BofAML Indices, ICE US Treasury Indices and ETF IOPV calculations. These extensive index solutions assist clients across different phases of the ETF lifecycle.

Prior to this, Pak Wing worked in Bloomberg for about 10 years in a variety of roles in both Singapore and Hong Kong, including the portfolio analytics & index team. Pak Wing graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor degree in electrical engineering.

Martin David

Martin David is responsible for managing the Asian Trading Desk and coordinating the philosophy and trading process across the region. He is located in the Singapore office.

Prior to joining UBS, Martin worked in Barclays as Asian Head of Quantitative Equity Trading, BAML as Asian Head of Quantitative Statistical Arbitrage, Deutsche Bank as Japan Head of QP1 and Lehman Brothers as equity quant.

Martin has a strong background in quantitative and electronic trading and has spent his entire career in Asia.

Ruben Costa-Santos

Roland de Marsangy

Roland has helped Liquidnet expand its geographical presence since joining in 2012. An initial focus on continental European members quickly expanded to include several strategic London accounts. He has also developed the trading platform expansion in emerging markets, including the launch of the on-shore South African market in 2015. In September 2016, Roland relocated to Hong Kong to lead Liquidnet’s business development and market structure efforts in the Asia-Pacific region (currently active in 13 markets).

With the MiFID II legislation effect, Roland’s recent focus has been on breaking down the complexities of the European regulation for Asia-Pacific based clients.

Roland has a depth of industry experience, previously working at Bloomberg in 2005 before working in Seychelles on the equities desk of an Austrian quant-driven hedge fund in 2009. ICE manages its Asia Pacific operations from its headquarters in Singapore which was officially opened in 2000.

Prior to joining ICE, Ms Ilkiw opened and managed the Asia Pacific office of the New York Mercantile Exchange and helped to develop Singapore as a commodity derivatives trading centre in her role as Assistant Director with the Monetary Authority of Singapore.

Ms Ilkiw is an active participant in Singapore’s financial community. She earned a bachelors degree in economics from Queens’ University in Canada and a masters of business administration from the University of Toronto in Canada. Ms. Ilkiw also contributed to a textbook on international business in the Asia Pacific published in 2004.

David Landisman

John Lin

Edward Mangles

Christopher Matsko

Roger McAvoy

He is responsible for marketing, investor education and promotion of HKEX-listed products and services of the SEHK & HKFE, including market updates on Connect initiatives such as Stock Connect and Bond Connect.

Before joining HKEX, he was responsible for Asia institutional sales and relationship management of Deutsche Boerse’s OTC FX electronic trading technology, data and analytics. In prior roles, he led MSCI’s Equity Index Benchmark Data and Portfolio Management Analytics businesses in Asia Pacific and the EMEAI regions, and had spent his earlier career leading client coverage and commercial product management teams at Thomson Financial and Tradeweb International helping buy-side customers with their investment management and trading technology, data and analytics.

Alex Medana

Patrick Mohr

Mr. Mohr spent the first two decades of his career in Tokyo working as a quantitative analyst and equity market strategist for Merrill Lynch Japan, Mizuho and Citigroup Japan. In 2011 he moved to Hong Kong and shifted his research focus to trading. Jim Northey

Jim Northey currently serves as a Co-Chair of the FIX Global Technical Committee and is the Chair Elect of ISO TC68, the ISO Technical Committee for Financial Services. Jim is convener of ISO TC68/SC9/WG1 “ISO 20022 Semantic Models” and is the secretary of ISO TC68/SC8/WG1 “Classification of Financial Instruments Revision”. Jim is a past member of the US Treasury OFR Financial Research Advisory Committee and the US CFTC Technology Advisory Committee Subcommittee on HFT. Jim previously served in the roles of FIX Americas Region Co-chair and the co-chair of the FIX Global Derivatives Committee. Jim was awarded the FIA Annual Achievement award in 2006 as part of the team that created FIXML for listed derivatives clearing standardization.

Jim was a Senior Vice President of Strategic Research focusing on Protocol Engineering and Standards at Itiviti Group AB, following acquisition of The LaSalle Technology Group, LLC in 2015, which he co-founded in 2006.

Jim holds a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Indianapolis and an M.S. in Financial Markets and Trading from Illinois Institute of Technology. Jim is an adjunct instructor of Finance at Michigan Technological University where he teaches Derivatives and Financial Engineering.

Ville Oehman

Viktor Östebo

Andrew Pal

Andrew has had 25 years’ experience in the futures industry and more recently in fintech and FX prime broking. He is currently the Chief Strategy Officer of the Gibraltar Stock Exchange Group and is based in Singapore. He is passionate in advising the Finance-Blockchain Complex: exchanges and fintech companies on regional expansion, liquidity provision, banking rails & payment providers.

He previously advised a leading multi-asset brokerage and prime services provider on enhancing their Greater China client offering.

Prior to this he advised the Shanghai International Energy on their now launched RMB denominated crude oil future. This is a "One Belt, One Road" initiative to utilise listed derivatives (futures) as official commodities benchmarks.

His experience is grounded in various management, sales and technology roles at UBS over a 20 year period in Singapore and Sydney, including that of CEO UBS Futures Singapore.

Arun Prasad

Arun started his financial career in Deutsche Bank in Japan building market risk models across asset classes. Prior to joining Refinitiv Arun was based in Hong Kong and served as the Head for Electronic Trading Connectivity for Asia-Pacific in Deutsche Bank. Laura Ryan

Laura was previously Head of APAC Sales at Eze Software Group & Tora Trading. Her career began at Cantor Fitzgerald/BGC Partners where she focused on FX interdealer brokerage and fixed income trading platforms. Roland Schwinn

He also served as Shareholder Director of the Board of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). Before that, he worked as an Independent Business Consultant for Eurex and Deutsche Boerse Group. Tony brings over 15 years’ experience implementing or advising upon financial technology and surveillance practices at exchanges and regulators across USA, Europe, Middle East, Asia-Pacific, and Africa. Tony has overseen teams performing major technology changes at over a dozen marketplaces. He has also frequently lectured on the topics of regulatory practices and financial technology.

Darius Sit

Darius is co-founder and Managing Partner at QCP Capital, a Crypto-asset trading firm headquartered in Singapore. Formerly a Macro Trader at Dymon Asia Capital, he spent years trading cross-asset derivatives with a focus on Asian FX/NDFs and model-based strategies before moving on to manage the Asia FX & Bonds book at BNP Paribas in New York.

In addition to institutional trading, Darius has a keen interest in financial modeling. He has created and implemented asset allocation models for sovereign wealth funds and also developed predictive models for Asian currencies, many of which operate under managed float regimes. He brings this and his capital markets experience to crypto-asset trading. He has a particular passion for crypto-economics and has given advice to a number of crypto projects, including Algorand and Terra, on trading structures and strategies.

An accomplished writer, Darius has published a number of thought leadership pieces on tokenisation of assets and is authoring the chapter on crypto-assets in the upcoming textbook “Fintech: The New DNA of Financial Services”. Prior to joining Blue Swell, Benjamin had worked in trading roles at Folger Hill Asset Management, China Silver Asset Management, and Sansar Capital Management.

Benjamin holds a BBA in Finance from the Pamplin School of Business at the University of Portland.

Leo Tay is a Managing Director and Head of FX Trading, Asia with ING Bank in Singapore. He leads a team of FX, swaps, NDFs, and options traders based in 5 locations, and oversees Asian trading activities in London. He is also responsible for eFX trading and the electronification of the Asian FX business.

Leo holds an MSc in Financial Mathematics from Technische Universität Kaiserslautern, Germany and BSc/BA in Management Engineering and Economics Honours from the Ateneo de Manila University, Philippines.

Carl Wegner
Managing Director, Head of Asia

Carl Wegner has been running the sales and operations in the APAC region for R3 since 2016. Armed with over 30 years’ experience in Asia in Cash Management, Institutional Banking, Financial Supply Chain and more recently Distributed ledger Technology, he has forged strategic alliances that has led to revenue growth and market penetration for R3.

Carl’s prior experience includes holding the roles of Managing Director and Head of Global Transaction banking, Greater China of Deutsche Bank and Managing Director of Transaction Banking for Standard Chartered Bank in Taiwan. He was also formerly the Chief Representative of a technology firm, TradeCard (now GTNexus) in China and set up their sales and operations teams in Asia starting in 2000.

Carl specialises in Financial Supply Chain and Fintech, has held posts as Treasurer of the American Chamber of Commerce in Taipei and Board Member of the Taipei American School. He holds a B.S. in both Chinese Language and Chinese history from Georgetown University.

Jermyn Wong
Product Development Director and ETF Specialist
Nikko AM Hong Kong Limited

Jermyn Wong is the Product Development Director and ETF Specialist at Nikko Asset Management Hong Kong Limited.

Jermyn joined the Product Development team at Nikko AM in Singapore in 2014, responsible for product development and idea generation efforts at the firm. In 2016, Jermyn was seconded to Nikko AM Hong Kong, to lead the firm’s product development in Hong Kong and North Asia.

In his dual-role as an ETF Specialist, Jermyn also helps to oversee the firm’s ETF initiatives in Asia ex-Japan. He is responsible for ETF development, and works with brokers and liquidity providers to ensure efficient trading of Nikko AM ETFs both on exchange and over the counter.

Jermyn studied at the University of Sydney and graduated with a double degree in Commerce and Law. He also has a Master of Science (Finance) from University College Dublin.

T K Yap
Managing Director, Head of Institutional Trading and Execution Services
CGS - CIMB Securities (Singapore)

Mr. TK Yap, CFA, is Managing Director and Head, Institutional Trading and Execution Services at CGS-CIMB Securities (Singapore).

His 35 years’ experience in the capital markets spanned roles in local and foreign firms, buy and sell sides, distribution and origination, and has included both research head and sales head responsibilities.

In the last 20 years he has focused on unbundled execution flow into the regional cash equities markets. His execution business model is founded on combining local market knowledge and high touch sales trading service, with low touch trading connectivity and operational solutioning. The client base comprises multi-desk global broker dealers, private banks, buy sides and proprietary trading firms.

TK is an Institute of Banking and Finance Fellow and serves on the IBF CMFAS Exam Board and Capital & Financial Markets Workgroup, and Securities Investors Association of Singapore committees.

He has previously served on the CFA Institute Board of Governors and was CFA Singapore Advisor and Past President.
