Murat Atamer is the Asia Pacific Head of Electronic Trading at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, based in Hong Kong. Prior to joining Bank of America, he was the Asia Pacific head of Electronic Execution Product for Credit Suisse. Previously, Murat headed the Quantitative Trading Strategy Team for Credit Suisse in Hong Kong. Prior to joining Credit Suisse, Murat was pursuing a PhD in Finance from the University of North Carolina, focusing on asset pricing and market microstructure.
Sanjay Awasthi is a Director at Eastspring Investments (Singapore) Limited (formerly Prudential Asset Management). Sanjay has close to 20 years of experience in the Securities Market and is actively trading equity and derivatives in India and other markets in the region.
Deputy General Manager
Ms. Maninder Cheema has worked with SEBI for 16 years. During this period, she has dealt with assignments in the areas of Market Regulation, Investment Management, Corporate Debt Markets, International Affairs and Market Surveillance. Ms. Cheema has been responsible for significant policy initiatives of SEBI such as framing regulations and policy for Alternative Investment Funds and Investment Advisors, Infrastructure Debt Funds, development of Corporate Bond Markets, policy for structured debt products etc. Ms. Cheema's present assignment is with the policy division for secondary market regulation.
Ms. Cheema has participated in several committees and working groups such as RBI Working Group on Market Structure for Privately Placed Debentures, Working Group on replacement of Commercial Bank Settlement with Central Bank Settlement in securities markets, Corporate Bond and Securitisation Advisory Committee of SEBI, IOSCO EMC Task Force on Development of Corporate Bond Markets and CPMI-IOSCO Working Group on Cyber Resilience. She is presently Member Secretary of Secondary Markets Advisory Committee.
Ms. Cheema is an alumni of Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune and handled market operations at the regional stock exchange in her hometown, Ludhiana, for more than 3 years prior to joining SEBI.
Siddharth Chhabria is part of the Goldman Sachs Electronic Trading (GSET) team, currently based out of Singapore covering sales and trading.
He has been with Goldman Sachs since 2007 and was previously a sales team leader for Bloomberg L.P. in India (2002-2007).
Prior to Bloomberg, Siddharth has been a broker in the fixed income markets with various firms.

Abhishek joined the ITG Analytics® team in the fall of 2012 where his main responsibilities include Post-Trade TCA consulting for large institutional investment managers. Abhishek has over six years of Equity Trading Analytics experience and specializes in helping clients understand the source of their transaction costs, how to reduce them and how they are impacted by the ever changing market microstructure. Prior to joining ITG, Abhishek worked at Lehman Brothers and Nomura – in the latter he was product manager for Nomura’s post-trade analytics suite. Brandon DeCoster is the Vice President of Product Management for FIX Flyer LLC, and is a specialist in production operations and the FIX Protocol. Brandon studied at the Rochester Institute of Technology, earning a BS in Information Technology in 2005, and worked for years as a software engineer at IBM. He entered the financials in 2007 as an engineer for Pipeline Financial Group, supporting their dark matching engine and algorithmic equities trading, and is an avid student of game theory, a topic on which he lectures widely.

Kumar Goradia looks after business development and general operations of the Tower Research Capital group in India. Prior to that, he was the country markets technology manager at JP Morgan India. Kumar has also managed the equity, listed derivatives, and operations technology initiatives of Citigroup Global Markets in the country.
Earlier he looked after application technology, algorithmic trading, quantitative studies, and India access products for the Institutional business of MF Global India, as well as treasury technology at ICICI Bank. Kumar began his markets career at a private Indian brokerage, where he ran arbitrage trading, B2B franchise solutions, clearing, risk management, compliance, back office, & sales.
Kumar has served on the BSE's technology committee, and is currently the Co-Chair of the India Working Group, FIX Trading Community. Kumar has a B.E. from the University of Bombay, and an M.S. from Virginia Tech in the United States.

Anant Jatia is the Founder and Managing Director of Greenland Trading, a proprietary trading firm that specializes in high frequency trading strategies to generate alpha. Greenland Trading invests globally across asset classes with a focus on cross-market statistical arbitrage strategies.
Prior to Greenland Trading, Anant co-founded India's first hedge fund, Forefront Capital Management, a leading quantitative investment manager that was acquired by Edelweiss Financial Services Ltd. Prior to that, Anant was a portfolio manager at AQR Capital Management. Suprabhat Lala, Vice President, works in the Regulatory Department at the National Stock Exchange of India (NSEIL) overseeing the Surveillance, Member Compliance & Investor Protection supervisory functions. During his fourteen year tenure at the organization, he has handled various portfolios at NSE including Trading. He has extensive experience of around 21 years in the area of finance. Prior to his current posting, he has managed operations for a premier sell-side brokerage house, one of the largest in the retail segment. Mr. Edward Mangles is the founder and Publisher of GlobalTrading, the official publication of the FIX Trading Community. He has a long history within the financial technology sector and has worked closely with FIX Trading Community for a number of years. Nalin heads Investment Research at Forefront Capital Management. Prior to co-founding Forefront Capital Management, Nalin was a Portfolio Manager at Goldman Sachs Asset Management in New York, USA. As a member of the Quantitative Investment Strategies team, he researched, built and traded quantitative market neutral and directional models for developed and emerging equities, bonds and credit. His research also included global asset allocation and liquidity and market risk management. Nalin graduated magna cum laude from the Management and Technology program at the University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Economics (Finance, Statistics) from the Wharton School and a B.S.E. in Computer Engineering from the School of Engineering. Jim Northey has over twenty five years' experience as a manager, consultant, and implementer. He is senior partner in The LaSalle Technology Group, LLC, an engineering and products company that provides connectivity solutions for the financial markets.
Jim is active in financial messaging standards by regularly contributing to the FIX and ISO 20022 standardisation efforts. Jim serves as a FIX Global Technical Committee Co-Chair. He previously served as Co-Chair of the FIX America’s Regional Committee and the FIX Global Derivatives Committee. Jim represents FIX Trading Community within ASC X.9 as the Co-Chair of the X9D Subcommittee for securities processing, which is responsible for US standards.
Jim served on the CFTC Technical Advisory Committee – Subcommittee on High Frequency Trading. He was selected to serve on the U.S. Department of the Treasury Financial Research Advisory Committee.

Mr. Nehal Vora is the Chief Regulatory Officer of BSE Limited and a Board member of Indian Clearing Corporation Limited. He is member of the Risk Management Review Committee of SEBI and of the Risk management Group of the Forward Markets Commission of Committees.
His other Board Memberships include that of National Power Exchange Ltd, Asian Indices Pvt. Ltd., The BSE Institute Ltd. and Institutional Investor Advisory Services India Limited (IIAS).
Nehal started his career with Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) in 1996. He spent the next 10 years in various functions including the Derivatives and New Products Department, covering policy, product and process innovation in areas of derivatives. He implemented the T+2 rolling settlement and system of Straight Through Processing for the Institutional trades.
After making his mark at SEBI, Nehal joined DSP Merrill Lynch Ltd as Director, Law and Compliance. Here, he headed the Broking and Investment Banking Compliance for a period of 3 years. In recognition of his commitment and dedication to the Compliance Function at DSP Merrill Lynch, he was awarded OGC Living the Mission Award in 2008 by Merrill Lynch.
In 2009, he joined BSE Limited and today heads all the Regulatory functions of BSE Ltd. including membership compliance, surveillance, inspection, investigation, regulatory communication, investor services, listing compliance and regulatory legal.
Nehal is the Chair of the Cyber Resilience Taskforce of The Affiliate Members Consultative Committee (AMCC) of The International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO). This is the first such committee on cyber resilience which analyzed cyber preparedness of SROs and Market Participants across the globe and has given considerations on a Micro and Marco level to face cybercrime.
