Richard Balarkas is a Managing Director of Credit Suisse with global responsibility for AES (Advanced Execution Services) sales. Prior to Credit Suisse Mr. Balarkas was COO for equity trading at BZW (Barclays de Zoete Wedd) with specific responsibility for all retail trading and automated trading. Prior to BZW he was a founder and CEO of the City Group for Smaller Companies (CISCO) which played a central role in the creation of new exchanges for high growth companies in Europe. Before forming CISCO he was Head of National Market Development in the markets division at the London Stock Exchange where he oversaw the introduction of the LSE's first order driven trading systems. Mr. Balarkas started his career with Cap group plc (now SEMA group plc).Mr. Balarkas has represented Credit Suisse on a wide number of regulatory, stock exchange and industry committees and working groups. He was recently elected Global Co-chair of FIX Protocol Ltd.
Chris Biscoe

Christopher Biscoe is the Head of US Ecommerce at Barclays Capital. He is based in New York and reports to Alisdair Hodge, Head of Global ecommerce.
Mr. Biscoe is responsible for leading the ecommerce business development and marketing teams in the Americas region. In this role, he is responsible for the sales and marketing of all BARX proprietary systems and services, client connectivity and the various BARX distribution platforms the bank offers its US-based clients.
Mr. Biscoe joined Barclays Capital in 2005. Previously, he was Director and Head of Electronic Trading and Client Connectivity for Asia Pacific at Credit Suisse First Boston in Hong Kong. Prior to that, he was a trading systems analyst at Dean Witter Reynolds in New York. Mr. Biscoe also recently served as co-chair of the Asia-Pacific FIX Steering Committee.
Marcus Consolini

Within the world of FIX, Marcus Consolini is the Vice Chairman of the FIX Protocol Limited (FPL) Asia Pacific Steering Committee. Marcus is responsible for ensuring that the committee's within FPL Asia Pacific are introducing and educating the Asian market place in Electronic Trading and the advantages of FIX. Prior to being Vice Chairman, Marcus was the Co-Chairman of the Education and Marketing Committee.
Marcus Consolini is the Global Head of Sales and Marketing for the Pre-Trade and Trade Division of SWIFT. SWIFT, the industry co-operative traditionally focused on the Back Office, now enables other protocols such as FIX to be used within its network for the enablement of STP via an added value intelligent hub.
Prior to joining SWIFT Marcus Consolini worked for Tiered (The Prudential), American Express Consulting Services and Deloitte & Touche. Marcus has lived and worked in four Asian countries as well as his native New York and London.
J. Keith Ducker

Mr. Ducker is a former senior sales trader at Goldman Sachs. In addition to sales trading with Goldman, Keith helped promote RediPlus to Goldman's institutional client base in the US following the Spear, Leeds & Kellogg acquisition. Prior to institutional sales trading Mr. Ducker worked at Odyssey Ventures, a technology research and investment firm based in San Francisco, California. Mr. Ducker graduated from Princeton University with a B.A. in Biology and has an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley.

Rob Flynn has worked at UBS for 16 years of which the last 11 have been within Asian Equities. Initially within Proprietary Trading, however, from early 2003 Rob headed the Japanese Agency Trading business for all products. Since January 2006 Rob has been based in Hong Kong where he is responsible for the Asian Cash Agency Business which includes Sales Trading, Facilitation, Program Trading and Electronic Execution.
Mat Gulley

Mat Gulley is an executive vice president and director of global trading at Franklin Templeton Investors. The firm has offices in more than 28 countries and manages more than $490 billion in assets, with more than $250 billion invested in equities. It offers investment products under the Franklin, Templeton, Mutual Series, Bissett and Fiduciary brand names. Gulley manages ten trading desks and a worldwide staff of more than 45 people. Gulley also oversees all of the firm's trading technology and oversees strategy for market structure and regulatory issues. He is a member of the firm's executive-planning and investment-management committees.
Gulley joined the firm in 1996. He was previously a domestic-based manager of international trading at Bridge International Trading. He began his career in 1988, trading futures and options. He has traded domestic and international equities and derivatives and while at Bridge helped to developed computerized technical trading tools.
Gulley, a CFA designee, received a BSBA from Washington University in St. Louis. He is a past member of the NYSE Institutional Traders Advisory Committee, the NYSE allocation committee, the Nasdaq's Quality of Markets Committee. He is currently a board member of the national organization investment professionals (NOIP). He currently resides in Hong Kong with his wife and five children.
Mark Howarth

Mark Howarth, Managing Director of Instinet Pacific, is responsible for all of Instinet's Asia-ex-Japan products and services, and is part of Instinet's management team for the global Asian product.
Mr. Howarth moved to Hong Kong in 2001 from Instinet in Japan, where he was the Marketing Director for Asia. He had a particular focus on developing new products to take advantage of improvements in regional markets structures and the levels of electronic connectivity. Prior to moving to Japan Mr. Howarth was with Instinet in London, operating in a similar role in the European markets.
His role in Hong Kong is to develop all aspects of Instinet's business and presence in the region, including entering new markets, localizing Instinet's global software platforms, and introducing new Asian trading products to Instinet's global client base.
Prior to joining Instinet, Mr. Howarth worked for Merrill Lynch and UBS in London in their European equity businesses. He has a BSc in Electronic Engineering from the University of London.
Chris Jenkins

Chris Jenkins of SWIFT, is the Regional Head of Sales for SWIFT Net FIX and is responsible for the SWIFTNet FIX programme in Asia Pacific. Mr Jenkins manages a regional team that promotes the use of FIX based messages over the SWIFT network.
Before joining SWIFT Mr Jenkins worked at Macgregor, the OMS provider, in London before moving to Asia to set up their operation in Hong Kong. He spent 3 years working at AXA Investment Management in London and prior to that worked for Midland Stockbrokers.
Mr Jenkins has been an active member and supporter of FPL in Hong Kong and is currently the Co-Chair of the Education and Marketing Committee of FPL in Asia promoting the use of Electronic trading throughout the region.
Kang Tae-Hong

Kang has been in securities field for 17 years and now is the manager of STP HUB and OMS team in Koscom. Also he started to develop STP HUB first when the concept of STP just began to be introduced in Korea about 5 years ago. Now STP HUB has over 50 connections for buy side and sell side and it is running very well. Being in charge of infrastructure of securities field in Korea, Koscom is playing a key role as a Korean Gateway.

A Certified Public Accountant both in Hong Kong and the U.S. (State of California), Ms. Kwan holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Accounting), an M.B.A (Finance) and a Bachelor of Laws.
David Li

Dr. Li joined Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) in September 2003. His primary responsibility as CTO in SHFE is to overlook the project of "New Generation Exchange Systems (NGES)." This project covers all technology areas in SHFE. Dr. Li is also the associate director of STEP working group (Standard Committee of Security Industry in China).
Before SHFE, Dr. Li was chief architect and director of software engineering at New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX). He led the project to develop first version of ClearPort application, an OTC clearing business.
Dr. Li started his financial industry experience from Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield as technical advisor. As one of 10 members senior technical strategic team, duties included advanced technology study, strategic planning, and new application development.
Dr. Li also had many years research and commercial software development experiences since he received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Cincinnati in 1991.

Grace Lin is in charge of the electronic trading business for Asian markets in the Equities Division of Citigroup. Ms. Lin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from University of California, Berkeley and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from University of California, Santa Cruz.
Ms. Lin has worked in buy-side and sell-side institutions in the U.S. and in Hong Kong throughout her career. She started her career with Franklin Templeton Investments in the U.S. and moved to Hong Kong to continue her career with sell-side firms UBS and Goldman Sachs prior to joining Citigroup. Ms. Lin has been one of the pioneers of FIX in Asia Pacific promoting the protocol as well as electronic trading since 1999.

He has served in a number of different posts, beginning as a salesperson on the CB desk in London and until the end of 2004 being responsible for the distribution of EPG in Pan Asia. Since completing the New York training programme in 1992 he has been variously based in London, Tokyo (twice) and now China. Peter became a managing director in 2000 and a partner in 2004. Prior to joining the firm, Peter served as an officer in the Royal Marines Commandos from 1981 until joining Goldman Sachs in 1992. Peter earned his B.A. in Arabic from the University of Durham in 1987. He and his wife, Zillah, live in Beijing.

Richard Man is Vice President of Asia-Pacific Sales for BT Radianz. His career includes 18 years in information technology selling to the financial services sector, with seven of them in the market data area and over six years in telecommunications. Prior to this current post, he had served as manager of Radianz's New York Sales region from 2002 - 2003. Prior to joining Radianz, Man was based in Boston and worked as Savvis' regional sales director. Before Savvis, Man moved to New York from Tokyo to run Bridge Information Systems's largest account, Citigroup, as a global accounts manager. In Tokyo, he was Dow Jones Telerate's (DJT) sales manager for International Accounts in Japan, and Manager for the Korean sales channels. He graduated with honors from the University of Birmingham in Great Britain in 1985 and passed the Registered Representative examination of the London Stock Exchange in 1987.

Endre Markos is the Head of Asian Execution Management at Bloomberg. Based in Hong Kong since 2003, he brought Bloomberg into the Asian arena of Execution Management in Equity and Futures Order Routing, where he manages the largest broker-neutral equity platform for Asia Pacific with Equity Order Routing and Indications of Interest on FIX. Endre joined Bloomberg in Princeton in 1996 as a Portfolio Systems - R&D Analyst where he helped to create the Institutional Holders search database and the analytic suite for international funds. He then moved to Bloomberg Tokyo to join the Business Development team in Equity Products as a Senior Asian Equity Market Specialist in 1999. Numerous equity analytics and trading screens used daily have his fingerprints on them. Endre graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia in 1994 with a degree in Economics.

George Molina is the Asian head of trading for Franklin Templeton's Asian Trading desks located locally in Hong Kong, India, Japan, Korea and Shanghai. He joined Franklin Templeton Invt. in 1997 as a member of their Global Trading Group based out of Florida, USA before being transferred to Hong Kong in 2002.
Prior to joining Franklin Templeton Mr. Molina worked for the Scudder Kemper group trading Asian Securities. He is currently Co-chairman of FIX Protocol Limited Asia where he is responsible for the promotion of electronic trading in the region.
Ron Newell

For the last 11 years, Ron has served in both business and technology roles while developing electronic markets. He joined the Products and Services division of Singapore Exchange (SGX) in January 2005. He heads its Market Services Management group, which owns the SGX QUEST electronic trading platform and is responsible for delivery of SGX trading services. Ron joined SGX from Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME), where he was Business System Architect for the CME GLOBEX trading system. Ron has been an active contributor to the FIX protocol since release 4.2 and instrumental in FPL adopting optimizations for high-velocity trading including the Fast FIX transport.

Mark Northwood is Head of the HK-based equity trading desk, which manages trading in the markets of this region for Fidelity's funds worldwide. He joined Fidelity in 1999. Prior to this ran the Asia Pac trading desk for BT Funds Management in Australia for 3 years, with 2 years as a derivatives trader with Salomon Brothers in HK before that. Mark is a past co-chair of the FIX Protocol Ltd Asia Technical Committee.

Srinivas Padmasola is Hong Kong-based Vice President of Electronic Trading for the Asia Pacific Region at Merrill Lynch. Previously, Srinivas worked for SWIFT in Mumbai and Hong Kong as well as a brief stint at Reuters. Srinivas has been an active member of FPL in the region and is the current co-chair of the Asia Pacific Education & Marketing Sub-Committee.
Lawrence Shan

Lawrence G. Shan is Vice President of Trading Department at the Taiwan Stock Exchange Corporation (TSEC). His responsibility at the TSEC Trading Department includes overseeing broker/dealers, drawing and revising market trading rules, handling daily trading operation and defaults, managing group settlement fund, and controlling the financial and operational risk of securities firms.
Mr. Shan joined the TSEC in September 1988. During the years with the company, Lawrence has been working in various departments. Listing, trading, clearance and settlement, research, and derivatives have been his fields.
Before joining the TSEC, Lawrence was associated with the Anderson Consulting as a group leader of Corporate Finance.
Mr. Shan graduated from the University of Maryland U.S.A. in the 80th with master degrees of MBA and MIS.
Brook Teeter

Brook Teeter has been in the financial services industry for over 11 years. His current role is Director Equity Sales for Alternative Execution Services at Credit Suisse. Brook is based in Hong Kong and looks after sales for all electronic trading products including algorithmic trading and program trading.
Prior to joining Credit Suisse, Brook was the Head of Institutional Sales for Asia Pacific at E*TRADE where he managed the Sales and Connectivity team.
Brook has also worked for Javelin Technologies in Hong Kong as Head of Electronic Sales and ran US sales for Gordon, Haskett and Co., a boutique brokerage in New York City and San Diego.
Mr. Teeter has been an active member of the FPL both in the US and Asia since 2000 and has previously been Co-Chair of the Asia Education and Marketing Committee.
Mr. Teeter holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and advanced degrees in Finance and Marketing from the University of Delaware.

Gavin Williamson joined HSBC in May 2005, initially working in London and then relocating to Hong Kong to work in Execution Trading, joining from Deutsche Bank in London where he worked as the Global Head of Institutional Execution services.
Prior to that he was Director and Head of Equity Electronic Trading with Salomon Smith Barney based in Hong Kong and Co-Charir of the Asia Pac regional FIX committee.
Greg Yanco

Greg Yanco is the Australian Stock Exchange's Manager, Institutional and Wholesale Markets, having responsibility for the development and support of the institutional and wholesale markets in equities, options and futures.
With over 20 years experience at ASX, Greg has managed diversified teams within both ASX's regulatory and service orientated environments. Previous roles at ASX have included National Manager - Client Relations and National Manager - Trading Market Development Division. Prior to joining ASX Greg worked for six years at the New South Wales Corporate Affairs Commission.
Greg holds a Bachelor of Business and is a CPA.
Henry Yegerman

Henry Yegerman is Managing Director of Analytical Products for ITG Inc. Henry is responsible for both trading analytics including pre and post trade transaction cost analysis, as well as portfolio analytic products at ITG. He has co-authored with Ian Domowitz, a number of papers on algorithmic sever trading and transaction cost analysis. He joined ITG in 1999 from Reuters, where he was Director of Global Marketing for Asset Management products. Prior to that, Henry spent 10 years at Morgan Stanley & Co. where among other assignments, was responsible for development of global indices for Morgan Stanley Capital International and worked for Morgan Stanley Investment Management. He has an M.B.A. in Finance from New York University and a Ph.D. from the Johns Hopkins University.
